My shower surround is fiberglass but i used the same attachment to drill holes in the marble surround in the video above. Hardware packs for any shower door model will contain one or the other style of anchor but will not contain both. It would probably be a good idea to put a stud if you still don t feel the anchors will work for you. The stud is about 1 2 inch to the side.

We have one company telling us they can do it with hinges that hold up to 110 lbs no stud needed another saying they ll only do it if there is a stud where the door goes in and a third saying they just won t do it. So the vertical rail has a stud to drill into. Keep them nice and clean. We are concerned that there is not enough support for the shower screen if we just use wall plugs.

We re looking into getting a frameless 36 shower door 67 68 high because we dislike the look of a panel. This collar that sites on top of and in that vertical rail hangs offset almost an inch from that bar. This dimension might be direct to stud or between two wall coverings. There is no stud where the shower screen needs to fix to the wall.

There are studs about 5 into the stall but nothing along the front edge. No framing for shower door so some genius me forgot to put in framing for a shower door in this nice shower i have now since tiled. Neighbor asked if i could help install a shower door. Follow instructions included with your product for installation in studs. When framing the alcove do not add any extra space to accommodate the shower tub.
