Material does seem to be water resistant as water. At first i was upset that the zipper is only a single zipper as the model i had before was an extremely durable double zipper that just felt very secure. The black hole laptop backpack had a buckle to secure your larger laptop and featured a smaller padded pocket for a tablet or in our case an 11 chromebook. Main compartment has a ton of pockets of different shapes and sizes and the lining is high quality.

Very impressed with this backpack. The side loading laptop compartment is really nice it even has a shock absorber sewed in on the bottom. There are two separate side accessed compartments that can accommodate inserts to keep your lenses and camera gear protected. The airflow on the back makes it much more comfortable to walk around with.
